About the Youth Film Foundation
The Youth Film Foundation educates young people about film making, its art, techniques and basic technologies.
We inform young people about the real value in creating film works; how to protect that value and how to gain from it. We inspire young people to create films with global reach and impact using available and affordable technologies.
The youth of today have more opportunity to speak through images and film and to shape their own futures than any previous generation.
Film is a universal language, clearer than a speech and yet simpler to create than writing a page of words.
A seven year old can get the attention of the world overnight; a film made by a teenager in Hong Kong can have global impact from Los Angeles to London. Unprecedented technology growth has created not only a chance for young people to make a difference but also to enjoy unprecedented rewards.
Established by a lawyer with a passion for image making and rights protection and an award winning movie maker we really do believe in the future of the medium.
